'The Big Manx Feast' will return in September next year
The Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival is to return under a new name next year.
Business Isle of Man has confirmed 'The Big Manx Feast' will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026 at Noble's Park.
The event will be themed around the ‘Mheillea’, in celebration of harvest time, the Island's strong community values, and the Year of the Manx Language, featuring:
- A Manx Produce Marquee, showcasing new and well-established food and drink producers.
- A Food and Drink Hall offering a diverse range of local and global flavours accompanied by live music.
- A kids’ marquee, with a programme of family friendly activities.
- Cooking demonstrations and talks featuring local and international talent showcasing Manx ingredients.
- A national food and drink awards programme under the Manx Menu banner.
- A broad festival programme, drawing in local groups, charities, artisans, and other small businesses from around the Island.
Rob Mercer MLC, Political Member for Business Isle of Man, said: "The Food and Drink Festival had been a highlight of the Island’s calendar since 2008, and I am delighted that the Department, with support from a cross-governmental steering committee, has been able to take it forward as The Big Manx Feast.
"The Island’s food and drink community has delivered outstanding events that celebrate local talent and bring people together. These successes reflect the sector’s creativity, ambition, and its growing contribution to the quality of life on our Island."
He added: "The inaugural Big Manx Feast builds on this momentum. It offers residents and visitors a fresh opportunity to enjoy the best of Manx produce while supporting local businesses and strengthening the Island’s reputation as a vibrant food and drink destination.
"With its renewed identity and new setting, the event aims to create real economic and community benefits - from increased public awareness for local traders to a stronger international profile for our growing food and drink sector."
Ollie Neale, Business Isle of Man Board Member and Managing Director Okell’s Brewery and H&B Wholesale Ltd., added: "The festival has always been a brilliant launchpad for new businesses while giving an opportunity for established businesses to meet their customers.
"The Big Manx Feast will also offer a chance to celebrate Manx provenance, inspire the next generation of producers, and attract tourists to our Island.
"I encourage all residents, producers, and visitors to mark their calendars and join us in celebrating the Island’s outstanding food and drink."
Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston said: "With my background in farming, I know first-hand the dedication and pride that goes into producing quality food. The Big Manx Feast is a chance to take that story beyond the farm gate.
"I’m proud to see the Department for Enterprise leading this effort to champion local food & drink businesses, inspire innovation, and strengthen the Island’s reputation as a destination for outstanding produce."
Government is encouraging producers, caterers, and other non-food businesses looking to sign up to the new mailing list to stay up to date about application requirements and deadlines.
Business Isle of Man would also like to invite food & drink focused speakers, influencers, demonstrators and potential sponsors to contact us at iomfoodanddrink@gov.im to express interest in participating.
