The TT paddock at the Grandstand could see go-kart racing on it as early as December if plans for a temporary track get the go-ahead.
Duke Marketing has applied for permission to transform the hard-standing car park into a karting track over the winter.
The facility would see racing move from Jurby to Douglas and Peter Duke says he hopes to open in early December subject to approval from the planning committee.
He says the scheme already has the backing of Douglas Council, and the site is an ideal one:
'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
