Keys introduced to four new bills

Twenty-two questions to be asked as members return

Members of the House of Keys return to their chamber today (Tuesday 28 October) for a 22 question paper.

There will also be four bills for first reading and two that have reached second reading stage.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse, with five questions, is the most prolific interrogator with inquiries ranging from the time to see a GP, resources available to the prostate screening service and if people likely to be affected by a proposed increase in domestic rates will be forewarned.

Released from ministerial restrictions, Glenfaba and Peel MHK Tim Crookall opens up with three questions, all related to his constituency. 

Two involve disposal of containment silt from the Peel Marina and the development of the Snuff the Wind site.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge asks about progress concerned with Agenda 30 which is about migration and sustainable development.

Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas asks about the financing of the Cair Vie windfarm, and whether any of the various arms of Crogga owe money to the government.

Questions will be followed by the first reading of the City of Douglas Bill, and three other bills, concerned with Keys and Local elections, Gambling and Public records.
