Manx Wildlife Trust warns the species could have a detrimental impact on the Island's ecosystem
The chief executive of the Manx Wildlife Trust believes there would be no conservation advantage to introducing red squirrels to the Isle of Man.
In recent years, there has been speculation that the species could thrive if introduced to the Island due to the lack of foxes here.
But, Graham Makepeace-Warne says their numbers are strong worldwide and they're not endangered.
He told Manx Radio the risks would outweigh the benefits:
