Possible 'unexploded bomb' found in west

Bomb disposal experts informed

An area in the north west of the Island has been cordoned off after the apparent discovery of an unexploded bomb.

The explosives - thought to be Second World War-era mortars - were unearthed on a green track lane around Sartfield.

British military bomb disposal experts have been informed, and are en route to the Island, where they'll assist with the controlled destruction.

Police are stressing the risk to the public is low - but ask people to keep away from the scene.
