Lawrie Hooper hoping to introduce bill preventing development of South Beach
A Ramsey MHK says plans for a new marina in the town 'aren't as dead as we think they are'.
The plans, which included berths for 400 yachts, were unveiled in 2019, although the project has not progressed.
Lawrie Hooper is now asking the House of Keys for leave to introduce a bill preventing any development on South Beach.
He says Tynwald's rejection of the North and West Area Plan forced him to take this action:
