
A report into the government's Information Systems Division ISD, has outlined a series of failings in the way it handles IT projects for departments.
The division was set up as an efficiency measure, to provide a centralised IT resource for all government departments.
But a Standing Committee report to be laid before Tynwald next week says ISD has become too inwardly-focused, and often fails to see successful project outcomes as its primary focus.
The report also accuses ISD of poor communication with those it serves and of being complacent in the face of criticism.
