Liaison officer says motorsport not immune to rising costs
Some TT riders are starting to 'feel the financial strain' of trying to take part in the racing fortnight.
Amid rising global costs motorsport has also seen increased prices for essentials such as tyres, parts and fuel.
Rider Liaison Officer Richard 'Milky' Quayle told Manx Radio he's seen several would-be newcomers to this year's event back out due to finances.
However the Manxman, himself a former TT winner, says the challenge to make ends meet - and get to the start line - is something competitors accept and often find a way to overcome:
