Hodson just outside lap record pace in Classic TT qualifying

Qualifying for MGP and Classic TT continues this afternoon

Rob Hodson was just eight tenths of a second outside the Formula 1 Classic TT lap record in last night's qualifying session.

His lap of 127.402mph was just outside the record set by Bruce Anstey in 2017.

John McGuinness led the way in the Historic Senior class, with Michael Evans quickest in the Juniors and Adam McLean top in the Lightweight Classic session.

In qualifying for the Manx Grand Prix, Chris Cook continued to show strong pace as he topped the times for the Supersport and Senior qualification, with Caomhan Canny fastest on the Supertwins and Juniors.

Qualifying for MGP and the Classic TT continues this afternoon, with roads around the course closing at 12.30pm.
